Green Woodworking Classes
Join us at The Lodge, Bowling Park, Bradford, through www.craftcourses.com to:
- Build a small piece of furniture like a stool to take home
- and in the process:
- Use hand tools such as Chisels, Saws, Auger and Brace, Draw knife, Spoke shave among others and practice how to use these effectively.
- Learn about the properties of green wood
- Learn tool and wood work safety
Half an hour lunch break allows for a 6 hour course.
Open to most abilities. Your choice of method for making your piece of furniture will be based on your ability level. We’d like you to have a piece to take away with you at the end and therefore have different designs to accommodate different levels of skill and speed. Need to be able sit astride a bench, use your feet to operate clamp and hands to work the tools and wood with a basic level of strength.
It may be possible to make accommodations to enable those with specific physical disabilities to access the course – with advance notice and discussion.
We can deliver for you: Bespoke Wood craft Sessions
Private training and activities delivered at your venue. We bring the equipment, you provide the people.
Learn in your own setting or in an outdoor or woodland space.
We provide shave horses (sit on wood clamps) and the tools for the participants to have a go on. We teach how to use the tools safely and manage behaviour where needed to ensure that the activities remain safe for all.
Available to book for education settings, community events, corporate team building activities or other groups.
Course content: Negotiable according to your group requirements
