Restoring Woodland in Bradford
Join our community woodland restoration project in BD5 and help care for local green spaces while enjoying the wellbeing benefits of spending time in nature. Our woodland groups bring people together to improve local woodlands, learn new skills, support biodiversity, and enjoy the outdoors in a welcoming and supportive environment.
What We Do
Our woodland groups take part in a wide range of practical and enjoyable activities that help improve local woodlands and support the community.
Activities include:
- Litter picking and keeping woodland areas clean
- Maintaining paths and public facilities
- Planting native trees and plants to encourage biodiversity
- Building dead hedges to support wildlife habitats
- Installing bird boxes and habitat features
- Learning traditional woodland crafts
- Taking part in outdoor games and group activities
- Relaxing in nature and enjoying time outdoors
- Having supportive conversations about mental health and wellbeing
